Police (Amendment) Act 2012
The Police (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 23 April 2012. Under the amendment, provisions relating to police's power to regulate assemblies, meetings and processions were repealed.

Peaceful Assembly Act 2012
The Peaceful Assembly Act 2012 has taken effect on 23 April 2012. It is an Act relating to the right to assemble peaceably and without arms, and to provide restrictions deemed necessary or expedient relating to such right in the interest of the security of the Federation or any part thereof or public order, including the protection of the rights and freedoms of other persons, and to provide for related matters.

Standards of Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2012
The Standards of Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 15 April 2012. The amendments among others redefined the term of "accreditation" and include provisions on powers of enforcement.

Employment (Amendment) Act 2012
The Employment (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 1 April 2012. The amendments among others provide the definition of "contractor for labour" and new provisions on employment of foreign domestic servant and sexual harrassment.

Copyright (Amendment) Act 2012
The Copyright (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 1 March 2012. The amendments include new provisions on voluntary notification of copyright, prohibition on cam-cording and licensing body.

Domestic Violence (Amendment) Act 2012
The Domestic Violence (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 20 February 2012. Under the amendments, domestic violence is extended to include mental, emotional and psychological abuse.

Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2012
 Section 2 of the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (Amendment) Act 2012 has taken effect on 10 February 2012 while section 3 is deemed to have taken effect on 1 November 2011.
