New Section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 has come into force on 1 June 2020. Section 17A imposes a corporate liability on organisations, who may now be held accountable for the corrupt offences committed by their employees or any persons deemed associated with the organisations.
