The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) has released a press statement on the “Economic Sectors in the Essential Services Allowed to Operate Throughout the Period of Movement Control Order (MCO)” and the “Soalan Lazim (FAQ) Berkaitan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri ” on 12 January 2021, in relation to the Operation of Economic Activities, Work From Home directive, COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) Registration and the full list of essential services which are allowed to operate in areas under the Movement Control Order (MCO) from 13 to 26 January 2021 in Selangor, the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan), Johor, Penang, Sabah and Melaka.

The infographic below highlights the guidelines on essential economic sectors and services which are allowed to operate during the MCO from the following MITI’s updates:
