Employees Provident Fund (Amendment) Act 2019 comes into effect on 15 March 2020.
The highlights of the Amending Act is the insertion of new Eight Schedule which allows a member to transfer his EPF contributions into the account of his lawful wife/s and the amendment of Section 39 which imposes travel bans on those with outstanding EPF and overdue contributions.
