ERMIRA FARIDAH is a partner in the Infrastructure & Construction practice group. She graduated from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) in 1996. She is the recipient of several academic awards including 1996 Book Prize for Education Excellence and 1996 Puan Sri Haseenah Abdool Cader Gold Medal, both from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.
Ermira specialises in construction matters, having more than fifteen years’ experience in the field. She advises on construction issues and agreements related thereto, commencing from pretendering stage, day-to-day legal issues on site during the construction period as well as issues post completion of works. Ermira provides legal assistance and support in matters related to consultants, engineers, architects and all other aspects relating to the construction industry. She drafts and negotiates project agreements, joint venture agreement, development agreements, commercial and technical documents as well as engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contracts as well as private finance initiative projects. She was involved with the legal documents and advisory services for the development of Putrajaya as Malaysia’s federal administrative capital and is sentimental towards its development. She was involved in the development of various government buildings and infrastructure there including Putrajaya International Convention Centre, Ministry of Finance Office Complex and Jambatan Sri Wawasan. She is currently providing legal services to Eastern Corridor Economic Region Development Board where she is involved in agriculture, agropolitan and social development missions apart from the development and construction projects.
